Vinus Week

You know autumn has arrived when the vendange, or grape-gathering, begins in northern Europe. Our table grapes are full and sweet and ripe for the picking in Week 2008/37. [Later note: I can't completely remember, but I suspect week 37 was the week that the autumn lilac Syringa microphylla 'Superba' came into flower.]
